#Track big bags at the level of detail you need
For one batch, it may be enough to know that 24 big bags remain. For another, you need the exact weight and storage position of every bag. HeyStack supports both approaches in the same inventory system.
#One total for interchangeable big bags
Use total inventory when individual big bags are not important. Record one stored item with its batch information, quantity and unit, then update the total when stock arrives or leaves.
This is a quick way to work, much like a digital whiteboard.
#Identify every big bag
Choose unique items when every physical big bag has its own weight, label or treatment. HeyStack creates individual registrations, allowing you to select the exact bags that move or are removed.
This prevents an average weight from standing in for bags whose actual weights differ.
#Prepare labels and scan later
Create labels in the web portal with the batch information you already know. Print one label or a complete batch and attach them to the big bags. During intake, scan the label with a supported Android scanner, enter the quantity and select the site, cold room and row.
For a later move, scan the label to open the right record. Scanning with a regular phone camera is not currently available; you can always manage big bags manually in the app.
#Find a batch and its storage position
Record the name, size, origin, quantity, colour and description. The inventory overview shows the total and where the big bags are stored. The history shows what changed.
