#See your potato inventory immediately
Whether a store holds 500, 5,000 or 12,000 boxes, you need to know which varieties and sizes remain without comparing a whiteboard with a spreadsheet.
HeyStack registers potato batches by site, cold room and row. The inventory overview shows both total quantities and the physical positions of each batch.
#Record variety, size and origin
Use the batch name for the variety, store its size grade and add an origin your team recognises, such as a field or supplier. Colours and descriptions help distinguish similar batches.
Seed potatoes, ware potatoes and different grades can follow the same workflow without being combined into one unclear total.
#Keep the season current
Record stock during intake and reduce it during dispatch or processing. Move a batch to another row or cold room and record a reason for an inventory adjustment.
When grading by size, split the total stock into new grades and record any rejects. The transaction history shows how the stock level changed.
#Total stock or individually tracked potato boxes
Use total stock when the box count per batch matters most. Choose individual items when each box matters, for example because weights differ or you need to select the exact boxes to move.
You can prepare labels for individual boxes and use supported Android scanners. Manual management remains possible without a scanner.
#A real example: Van Schendel
Dutch arable farm Van Schendel has capacity for 12,000 boxes and previously tracked its stock on a whiteboard and in Excel. Now the team can see the current stock in the HeyStack app. Read how it works in the Van Schendel customer story.
