#Excel is often not the real problem
A spreadsheet can calculate perfectly well. It becomes difficult when several people need to update physical stock as they work. Copies appear, changes are forgotten and nobody knows which version is current.
Sometimes the storage layout is on a whiteboard, quantities are in Excel and the latest dispatch is only in a message. Keeping those records in sync can take longer than recording a single stock change.
#One place for stock and storage positions
HeyStack links each batch to where it is stored. Set up sites, cold rooms, rows and storage items. For each batch, record details such as its name, size, origin and quantity.
The app and web portal show the same current data. A colleague in the store does not have to wait for someone in the office to update a spreadsheet.
#Record changes as they happen
Record incoming stock, a reduction, a move or grading when the physical work happens. You can later check the history to see what changed, when and who recorded it.
A reason for the change can make it clear whether a difference came from a delivery, count or correction.
#Start without a large implementation project
You do not need to model every business process first. Create a site, add cold rooms and rows, and register your first batches. Use total stock for simple quantities and unique items only when you need to track each physical box or big bag separately.
HeyStack does not automatically replace every spreadsheet in your business. Financial calculations, sales planning and detailed reporting may still belong elsewhere. It replaces the loose inventory sheet used to remember what is stored where.
#From duplicate work to a current overview
Arable farm Van Schendel used to update its stock in Excel every Saturday alongside a whiteboard. Now the team opens HeyStack to see the current position. Read the full customer story.
